First Summer Session
BitterSweet Place will offer it's first summer session July 11 and 12, 2009 at Cave Hollow Park in Warrensburg. The park is located at the west end of Gay Street, across from the ball fields. The times and schedule are as follows:
Saturday, July 11 - 3:30-8:00 p.m. Children only
(Drop off and pick up promptly at these times)
The children will participate in nature activities and crafts, and the preparation and enjoyment of a simple meal.
Sunday, July 12 - 7:00-9:00 p.m. For Caregivers and Children
We will enjoy a campfire circle which will include sharing of Saturday's projects, camp songs and a snack.
There will be a fee of $5.00 per family for this session to be applied to the expenses of crafts and food.
The children will participate in a variety of activities related to nature, and just experience the fun of being outdoors in the summer with their friends. BitterSweet Place facilitators will assist Beth Rutt who teaches and directs camping classes at UCM. Beth will enlist help of some of her college students, so there will be plenty of supervision and experienced guidance. There is a shelter in case of rain, as well as restroom facilities. Children will need to dress in clothes that can get dirty and possibly wet. We also ask that each child bring an extra set of clothes in a plastic bag with their name on a card inside the bag. Children should wear old tennis shoes or closed-toe sandals with heel straps.

Fall Sessions Begin Tuesday, September 8, 2009
Our regular fall session will begin Tuesday, September 8, 2009 promptly at 5:45 p.m. and end at 6:45. These meetings will take place at the BitterSweet Place, 136 E. Gay Street, and will be held approximately every two weeks for a total of 8 sessions. The schedule is as follows:
